Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Retention Marketing to lead the lifecycle marketing strategy across our brand portfolio. You will be responsible for driving long-term customer engagement, retention, and LTV growth through best-in-class email and CRM programs—primarily powered by Klaviyo and other loyalty programs.

This is a strategy and implementation-focused role. You’ll be working closely with our sister design agencies who handle content and creative development—so your focus will be on mapping journeys, optimizing flows, segmentation, and driving performance through strategic execution.

This role is perfect for someone who is both highly analytical and creative, understands consumer behavior in the DTC space, and can lead full-funnel retention strategies from ideation to execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the retention marketing strategy across brands, with a strong focus on customer LTV and engagement
  • Oversee all Klaviyo activity, including manual campaigns, automated flows, segmentation, and A/B testing
  • Manage and optimize lifecycle marketing touchpoints, from onboarding to win-backs
  • Map out and analyze LTV data across the portfolio to drive actionable insights
  • Develop regular reporting systems to track retention KPIs, campaign performance, and strategic opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with brand, creative, and growth teams to align messaging and drive consistent customer experiences
  • Stay updated on best practices in email, CRM, and retention strategy in the DTC space

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in retention, lifecycle, or CRM marketing in a DTC/eCommerce environment
  • Deep experience using Klaviyo for both campaign and flow execution
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, LTV modeling, and retention metrics
  • Proficient in analyzing marketing performance and creating actionable dashboards
  • written communication and project management skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple brands in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Bonus: Familiarity with tools like Recharge, or similar platforms, in subscription related businesses
  • Proficient in project management via Notion
  • Proficient in AI tools
